Copy Bahi Tich Button 8-1/2 x 7 Inch 107 gsm BILT Paper | Traditional Bahi Khata Copy

Description

This copy bahi tich button register is bound the traditional way, and the bahi khata is the book a trader’s daily business runs through — udhar given, jama received, balances carried forward. This copy of it is the compact 8-1/2 x 7 inch size, so it stays open on the counter through the working day.

Pairs well with the medicine stock register.

Binding is the traditional tich button, on 107 gsm BILT paper. The heavier sheet matters here: a bahi khata is written on both sides and referred back to often, and a thin page lets ink press through and makes old entries hard to read.

Page counts run from 31 up to 400, which lets a shop start with a slim book and move to a thick one as the number of accounts grows.

Binding that survives daily handling

A bahi khata is opened and closed more times in a year than any other book in a shop, so how it is bound matters. Tich button binding is the traditional answer: sections stitched and held at the spine, the book lying flat while it is written in, and no pages working loose as the entries accumulate.

The paper is 107 gsm BILT, chosen for the same reason – a bahi khata is written on both sides and referred back to often, and a thin page lets ink press through and makes older entries hard to read. Page counts run from 31 up to 400, which lets a shop start with a slim book and move to a thick one as the number of accounts grows.
